Rescue Me! Where's The Food!

Every city across America is faced with a severe homeless population. In the last five years, America’s homelessness has escalated thirty percent higher in every central city. Homelessness is no longer confined to major metropolises. Urban towns, small farming villages, country townships, and mountain rural communities have their share of homeless troubles.

Homeless people rely upon charitable organizations, such as Catholic Charities, churches, and private non-profit organizations, for a hot meal, a shower, and toiletries. Food and Care Coalition in Provo, Utah serve three meals a day, plus a sack lunch to Provo’s growing homeless population. Two years ago they averaged 700 meals a day. That figure has now risen to over 1000 hot meals, plus they provide dental, optical, and medical care.

They’re not alone. Catholic Charities states there is a vaunting increase in homeless people in America. For example, in Colorado Springs, Catholic Charities feed 700 to 800 people a day; compared to six months ago they averaged 400 to 500 homeless people. Charitable organizations that care for the homeless are faced with a mammoth financial dilemma. They are simply running out of money and food. Non-profit organizations rely on the generosity of private citizens, churches, private corporations, and the federal government.

Across America the current recession has largely affected freewill contributions. In most cases, donations are down fifty percent or more. With the rising cost of food, some grocery stores, such as, Safeway and KingSooper (United Grocers) have ceased disseminating meat products, milk, and juice to charitable organizations, except for expired bread and pastries. The reason: The federal government allows for grocery stores a much higher tax write-off if expired food is discarded rather than given to charities. Catholic Charities, Food and Care Coalition, Manna, and other homeless charities primarily rely on food donations from grocery stores.

The Obama Administration has significantly cut back funding to all charities, putting charitable institutions in a most difficult position to care for the homeless. All along, America’s “moneybags” live in marble palaces, and dine at recherché restaurants eating caviar and sipping Pertimali di Livo Sassetti. Year after year, these self-praising “economic whores” rob the middle-class out of what little money they earn. They’ve set themselves as kings over America’s middle-class and wretched misfortunate ones. How long will the poor allow America’s aristocrats to rule over them? A fresh wind is blowing across America: It is a revolutionary call to unity for economical equality for all peoples.

Texas Cop Tasers Old Lace

Kathryn Winkfein, a 72 year old grandmother ran afoul of Texas law on May 11, 2009 when she refused to sign a speeding ticket. Travis County, Sheriff Deputy, Chris Blaze, tasered Ms Winkfein for exercising her Constitution right not to sign a ticket for speeding. Deputy Blaze and Travis County Sheriff Department justified the deputy’s action, stating, “he feared for his life.”

It is true the frail old lady did refuse to sign the ticket and used foul language. She objected to the speeding ticket, claiming she was not speeding. Deputy Blaze provoked the situation further when he physically shoved the old woman, nearly knocking her off her feet. Ms Winkfein vehemently objected to being physically abused by the deputy. At that point, Deputy Blaze withdrew his weapon and threatened to shoot the 72 year old woman.

When Ms Winkfein continued her refusal to sign the ticket, Deputy Blaze decided it was time for a more drastic measure to enforce compliance. Deputy Blaze withdrew his taser gun, and shot the old lace with 50,000 volts of electricity. It was a proud moment for Travis County Sheriff Department. They arrogantly hailed the taser assault as being justified. The truth is Deputy Blaze could have subdued the elderly lady with one hand tied behind his back. She posed no threat to the officer, society, or herself. She was not in possession of a weapon of any kind, nor was there one in the vicinity of her vehicle.

Texas has a long standing anti-Semitic history with Jews. Unfortunately for Ms. Winkfein, Deputy Blaze’s action to taser her was triggered by his entrenched anti-Semitic viewpoints. His unacceptable justification for tasering this elderly lady was nothing more than police window dressing. Travis County Sheriff Department has validated Deputy Blaze’s brutal actions as justifiable; however, I am most positive the good citizens of Texas do not.

18,000,000 People Starve To Death Daily

The World Heath Organization recently stated that 18 million people worldwide die of starvation daily. That’s 18 million people! The Counsel for the Center of Disease Control (CDC) has stated that over 11 million children in America go to bed hungry every night. The only meals they receive are school lunch vouchers. On the weekends, most do not have anything to eat. Americans as a whole have been blessed with the good life. We live in comfortable homes with manicured lawns, possess big screen televisions, eat the best of foods, wear fine apparel, we drive the best of automobiles, we own boats, luxury toys, and the more we acquire, the more we crave.

A very rich man had a big house with many servants. The rich man enjoyed life’s greatest paramount. He was the “big fish” in his community. There was a very poor man named Lazarus that sat daily under the rich man’s table expecting to eat the morsel of crumbs that fell to the floor. Lazarus was very sick; his body was covered with bleeding blisters. The rich man figured that by allowing poor Lazarus to scrounge for the measly crumbs that fell from his table that he was performing an act of kindeness.

Lazarus eventually died and so did the rich man. As the story goes, the rich man looked up from the flames of hell and saw Lazarus being comforted in the arms of his Heavenly Father. The rich man apparently was dismayed at this turn of events. After all, he believed he was being kind and generous by allowing Lazarus to eat the crumbs that fell from his table. The Lord saw it differently and told the rich man so. He reminded the rich man that while he had the opportunity to bless Lazarus, he squandered his blessings on his own selfishness.

The Iraqi and Afghanistan war has cost America over a trillion dollars. We pump billions into useless projects that benefit only a few. Greed and more greed has become our model of standards. Our churches throw a few pennies in the poor bucket believing, just as the rich man, that we have fulfilled God’s service to humanity. Our self-centeredness separates us from the very blessings we seek from our Heavenly Father. How true the old adage loudly rings, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Come Judgment Day, the Lord of Righteous Judgment will not adjudicate us for the wealth we enjoyed, but rather, how we administered our wealth to the poor. How dare we call ourselves Children of the Lord and close our eyes and ears to the cries of the hungry and poor. Shame on all of us! If America and the free nations desire to prove themselves as a benevolent, generous, kinder, loving nation, than each and every nation must rise up with financial aid to rid the world of hunger and starvation. Tell your pastor, rabbi, minister, Congressman, and those in charge to act immediately to rid the world of hunger. 18 million people a day are counting on it. If we fail God will judge us accordingly.

Looking Unto Jesus

God’s Word directs us at all times to keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus. In these troubling times Christians are paying special attention to terrorism, abortion, recession, money, material things, family issues, politics, candidates, judges, moral decay, and a host of other everyday problems. We’ve become so transfixed on national and world events rather than the “Good News” that we lost sight of the Cross.

Jesus told his disciples to “preach the Good News.” Preachers today have a new message, that is, they preach “how to get rich schemes” to what candidates to vote for. Jesus willfully went to the Cross to save the world from the condemnation of sin. The shedding of His blood was to cleanse us from unrighteousness; and to bring us into a perfect relationship with our Heavenly Father. Through Christ we have complete access to our Heavenly Father. Christ taught his disciples to pray for one another. He directed them to preach the “Good News” and to minister to the more unfortunate ones.

Yet, Christian’s are praying for money, power, and a myriad of selfish greed. The Lord has turned a deaf ear to our covetous prayers. We are in awe over the fact that His anointed presence has left the Church. And yet, we believers continue marching down “Selfish Lane” without giving a second thought as to God’s purpose for our lives. We’ve educated ourselves to know more about Him rather than developing an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

The quandaries of today are not new ones. The Devil would have us believe that He, not Christ is in control of the world events. Yet, he has deceived the Church into believing that material things, money, wealth, avarice, lust, power, fame, and having a “righteous cause” to fight for are the keys for survival. He has swindled the Church out of her righteous inheritance of faith and trust. By focusing on world events, social issues, and the current political spectrum, our faith has soured into self-seeking fulfillment.

True faith desires to please Christ. Today’s Church adheres more to preaching the current political spectrum than the joys of entering into his anointed chamber room. I have often contemplated if the Lord has the audacity to equate today’s Church as His beautiful bride to be? The Church podium has cultivated into a political platform. She has danced to the voice of crime and punishment, moral laws, politics, and governmental regulations. Her weary face bears the marks of an angry, harden-bitter woman.

The Pharisees brought to Jesus a woman who was caught in adultery. They demanded that Christ sentence to woman to death, according to the Law of Moses. Christ responded, “You without sin, let him cast the first stone.” The law makers departed having been put to shame by their harden hearts. Christ then asks the woman, “Where are those that condemned you?” She admitted there was no one. He said, “Neither do I condemn you.” The religious political spectrum of the day demanded the death sentence. Christ offered the adulteress woman forgiveness. It is time for the Church to take her eyes off today’s religious political continuum; and fasten them on the Lord of mercy and forgiveness.

REAL vs. Nancy Pelosi

In the last few months over eight police officers either have been murdered or wounded in the line of duty. Their deaths have raised the stakes over gun control; and the right for private citizens to own assault weapons. According to the Newt Gringrich and the Renewing American Leadership (REAL) Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, are surreptitiously working behind the scene for gun control legislation.

REAL claims Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are out to legislate gun control for all guns (including ones for hunting and sport events). REAL claim the right for private citizens to carry concealed weapons would basically end violent crimes in America. They say states that allow concealed weapon permits statistics show that violent crimes, burglaries, house break-ins, robberies, murder, assaults, inter alia are down considerably. They are wrong.

Out of the eight police officers murdered last month, two of the shooters had no criminal records. They murdered five of the police officers, and both were licensed with a concealed weapons permit. REAL claims that police officers across the board are in favor of private citizens carrying concealed weapons. That is absolutely false. Not when police officers are maliciously gunned down by outraged citizens for simple traffic stops.

REAL states that Nancy Pelosi is un-American for her stand against violent crimes, especially those that involve a gun. In truth, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are fighting to get guns off the streets. Their objective is to protect law enforcement and private citizens from harms way. However, REAL associates this kind of legislation as an attempt to destroy Americans’ rights to bare arms. Again this is ludicrous. The Speaker of the House is doing her job exactly the way Americans expect her to do.

Gun control is an essential tool to protect all Americans from rogue individuals that are bent on murdering the innocent. Without gun control violent crimes will continue to rise. The elderly, women and children are the ones that suffer had the hands of ‘good gun carrying citizens.’ Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are making an effort to stop this madness. REAL and Newt Gringrich are openly promoting violent crimes by lobbying for gun activists. REAL is nothing more than window dressing for gun activists rights that place police officers, women, and children's lives in harms way. Let’s stop this madness by support Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats efforts to control guns in America.

The Day of Grapes of Wrath Are Upon Us

California’s unemployment currently stands at 10.3%. That means one out of every ten adults is out of work. California has one of the highest rates of house foreclosures in the nation. Thousands of hard working citizens that once owned a home are homeless or in other terms are listed among the street people.

On the outskirts of the City of Sacramento there are nearly one thousand homeless citizens that have pitched tents along the Sacramento River. They are not your everyday common homeless people that roam the streets begging for food or shelter. These people were once the thriving citizens of Sacramento that, for no fault of their own, found themselves victimized by the biggest mortgage scam perpetrated in American history. Destitute with nowhere to go they turned to the only place they could call home: a makeshift tent city on the outskirts of their beloved City of Sacramento. Now, one would think that the City Council would be overjoyed that these hardworking people are not wandering the streets, but have a tent (if one could call a tent a home) to retire to. But this is not the case.

Sacramento City Council has sternly warned these unfortunate citizens that they must vacate and pack up or face arrest. As one City Council Member put it, “We will not tolerate “these people” camping along the riverfront much longer.” So what is happening? The City has authorized local and county law enforcement to harangue and berate these poor people. Law enforcement go from tent to tent asking for identification and demanding for the homeless victims to produce a camping permit. Of course there is no camping permit because the City of Sacramento does not authorize any. On failing to provide a camping permit these victims of society must immediately pack up their wives and children and leave the only place they can call home.

John Steinbeck vividly described such heartless atrocities in his book, “The Grapes of Wrath” In the late thirties Oklahoma farmers and migrant workers were forced to leave the security of their homes due to drought which has come to be known as the “Dust Bowl” era of the thirties and forties. By the thousands Oklahoma migrant workers headed out west to secure work in the agricultural fields of the Golden State of California. Instead of finding honest employers the “Okies” as they were known, were cheated out of their wages, forced to live in filthy rat infested migrant tents, with no running water or toilet facilities, and survived off of broth chicory coffee.

They were often beaten by law enforcement officers, their women were raped, their children wallowed in body waste, and they lacked medical care. The poor souls that complained about their ill treatment, the camp guards would come in the middle of night and physically terrorize the whole family, including the children. What meager belongings the migrant workers possessed were often damaged or destroyed at the hands of the cruel camp guards. The elderly and small children died from disease or starvation. It was an oppressive and shameful era of American history. Yet some seventy years later America continues its repressive assault on the poor, the neglected homeless people, and the housing market victims. The only difference is the Dust Bowl era has a new name: The Mortgage Scandal of America.

We call ourselves a compassionate nation, and yet over eleven million children in this nation go to bed hungry every night. Hundreds of thousands of war veterans are homeless with nowhere to turn to for help. The poor get poorer while the rich gorge themselves off the misery of America’s unfortunate victims of society. America once a kindhearted, compassionate nation has willfully abandoned society’s underprivileged, depriving them of the golden opportunities of a God-fearing nation. Truly, John Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath has once again found its way into the black heart of corporate America’s greed governed by corrupt politics whose primary desire is ill gotten gain at the expense of the poor.

Passover (Seder) will be upon us in the next few weeks, Ms. Cole's message is timely and enlightening in helping non-Jews understand the true meaning of Passover.

The Passover Meal

The Passover meal that the Israelites held in Egypt was unique from all the Passover meals held since. Before the first one, they were to sprinkle the blood of the lamb on their doorposts and lintel, and they were to eat it in haste. It has since evolved, maintaining many of the same customs, as well as adding a few. You are familiar with the one in Exodus 11-12. Let's look at how it is usually done today.

Every year before the Passover, an Orthodox Jewish family will eat up as much as possible all the foods in their house not processed or packaged for the Passover. This is to remove all the leaven from the house - any fermented grain product, starter dough, breads, cakes, cookies, yeast, (baking soda and baking powder). What cannot be eaten is sold to a non-Jew. Not only can a Jew not eat any leaven during Passover week, he can't have it in his house or even own any leaven. They do usually go and buy back their products after the festival. Leaven is an emblem of sin, corruption. Paul refers to it as that in 1 Corinthians 5:6-8.

The final search for leaven is made the night before the Passover (PESAH). Traditionally a candle, feather and bag are used for this final search. Every member of the family is to participate in this search. Every nook and cranny of every floor, shelf, cupboard is inspected for the minutest grain of bread crumbs or leavening. Any dust found is swept up with the feather (like a broom) into the bag for fear it might contain a grain of leavening. Traditionally, 10 pieces of leavened bread are hidden throughout the house and the ritual is not complete until the family has found the 10 pieces. All that was found is burnt the next morning before the Passover begins.

Cooking for the Passover meal is an extremely complicated procedure. Everything used during the preparation - refrigerator, stove, counter, sink, etc., is thoroughly scoured before beginning. Because some minute speck of leaven might be left unnoticed on some utensil, some Jews find the easiest way to prepare their meal is to have a special set of dishes, silverware and cooking utensils reserved only for use during the Passover. Some cover their burners so that no Passover pot touches the parts of the stove used every other day.

The SEDER (SADER) - the Passover meal - is the central celebration of the Passover. It's origin stems from our text today. The entire extended family is to come together. They go through the meal and the retelling of the story in first person as if they had been one of the slaves freed from Pharaoh's bondage.

This book, the HAGGADAH, is the text for the SEDER. Everyone present would have a copy of it. It contains all the blessings, order for eating, telling of the Exodus story from slavery through the plagues, crossing of the Red Sea, giving of the Law, and to the giving of the land of Canaan. There are also songs and psalms to be read, etc.

Seder Table

(Assemble around table -- don't eat yet.) All recline around the SEDER table, because reclining around the table was a sign of a free man. Everything on the table has a significance.

On the SEDER plate there is:

Hard boiled egg - symbol of the suffering and oppression in Egypt. Everything else in boiling water becomes soft or disintegrates. But an egg becomes hard, like the Israelites. The more it is boiled, the harder it becomes. An egg also symbolizes New Life.
Roasted shankbone of lamb - reminds them there had to be blood sacrificed to save their lives.

Bitter herbs - horseradish - reminds them they were servants to slavery.

Greens - parsley, celery - symbol of coming of Spring which brings hope.

Salt water - reminds them of the tears they cried in Egypt.

Haroset - nut, apple, cinnamon, wine mixture which has the appearance of straw in remembrance of the mortar used to build the Treasure Cities for Pharaoh. It is symbolic of the hope of freedom that enabled their ancestors to withstand the bitterness of slavery.

Matzah - the unleavened bread that reminds them of the haste with which they left Egypt.

After the drinking of wine and washing of the hands the greens are dipped into the salt water and eaten.

Then the bread on the SEDER plate is broken. Half remains on the plate, half is hidden for the dessert. This is to keep the interest of the children. Children are to find it and keep it till the end of the meal when the leader redeems it in exchange for the promise of gifts. Throughout the service many things are incorporated to keep the interest of the children. The most important thing is the telling of the story of the Exodus to the children.

The telling of the story of the Exodus includes everyone's favorite part - the 4 questions, asked by the youngest child present.

Why on this night do we eat only mazzah, which is unleavened bread?
Why on this night do we eat bitter herbs especially?
Why on this night do we dip the parsley in salt water and the bitter herbs in haroset?
Why on this night do we all recline at the table?

The leader replies to the child:

Indeed, this night is very different from all the other nights of the year, for on this night we celebrate one of the most important moments in the history of our people. On this night we celebrate their going forth in triumph from slavery into freedom.

I am glad you asked the questions you did, for the story of this night was just what I wanted you to know. Although the Haggadah we are reading tells this whole story, and if you listen carefully you will surely learn it, I should like to tell you here, in a few words, the answers to your questions.
~ Why do we eat only mazzah tonight?

When Pharaoh let our forefathers go from Egypt, they were forced to flee in great haste. Now, they had prepared dough for bread to take on their journey, but the Egyptians pressed them to hasten out of the land. So they snatched up their dough, and fled, and had no time to bake it. But the hot sun, beating down on the dough as they carried it along with them, baked it into a flat, unleavened bread which they called mazzah. That is why we eat only mazzah on Pesah.

Why do we eat bitter herbs on Pesah night?
Because our forefathers were slaves in Egypt, and their lives were made bitter. That is why we eat bitter herbs on Pesah night.

Why do we dip herbs twice tonight?

You have already heard that we dip the parsley in salt water because it reminds us of the green that comes to life again in the springtime. We dip the maror, or bitter herbs, in the sweet haroset as a sign of hope; our forefathers were able to withstand the bitterness of slavery, because it was sweetened by the hope of freedom.

Why do we recline at the table?
Because reclining at the table was a sign of a free man in olden times; and since our forefathers were freed on this night, we recline at the table.
After the symbolism is explained the story of the Exodus is told. It can be read straight from this book, but more than likely the leader will go around the room asking everyone to reconstruct a part of the story. [What do you remember about your leaving Egypt?] Each person will tell a part as if he had been a slave and as if he had actually witnessed the plagues and as if he had actually crossed the Red Sea on dry ground and then watched Pharaoh's army drown.

The hands are washed again, a double blessing is given on the matzah, and it is eaten. Then the horseradish is eaten straight or is dipped into the sweet haroset.

Or, a sandwich is made with matzah and horseradish and haroset, or perhaps a little bit of lamb is included with the sandwich.

[A Passover style meal is served and eaten at this point.]

Mrs. Needham and the Metro Jr. High girls made our matzah bread for us this morning. Listen while I read to you some of the restrictions on making this bread in order for it to be kosher for a real Jewish Passover.

The wheat is watched from the time of harvesting until the final baking to insure that no water, heat, or other natural processes cause it to begin fermentation. . . The utensils used for making it are washed every eighteen minutes. . . . The flour must be absolutely dry, and stored in a cool, dark place. . . . The water must be drawn from a spring and allowed to settle overnight in a cool, dark place. . . .
Then the matzah bread for dessert is redeemed from the children with presents and eaten.

The meal ends and Psalm 126 is read. [Read.] The ceremony goes on with more reading, singing and praising God.

[If time allows--] Let's relate this to us as Christians. Jesus initiated our Lord's Supper from this first Passover meal. Let's look at some similarities.

God initiated this Passover meal before the events took place that it was to commemorate. Jesus initiated the Lord's Supper commemorating His death and looking forward to His resurrection before the events took place.

God told Moses for them to take a lamb four days before its slaughter. Christ entered Jerusalem on Sunday - four days before His crucifixion. Both took place on the 14th day of the month Abib.

Israelites were to sacrifice a male lamb one year old - in the prime of his life - when he was at his strongest. Jesus was about 33 years old - pinnacle of earthly strength and maturity.

Male lamb was to be without blemish. Jesus is our example of perfection and sinlessness - without blemish.

Lamb is patient, noiseless and submissive to death as was Christ.

Exodus 12:6 - whole assembly of the congregation of Israel were to kill their lambs. This was not done by a priest. Everyone was to witness and be responsible for the death of the lamb. Just as we are all responsible for the death of Christ on the cross. It was our sins that crucified Him.

The blood of the lamb was to be put on the two doorposts and lintel so that they might be passed over when death came to Egypt. It is the blood of Christ that keeps us from everlasting death.

Lamb was to be roasted whole - no broken bones. Christ was crucified and died with no broken bones - even though the soldiers were sent out to break His leg bones to hasten His death.

The meal was to be eaten with bitter herbs to remember the bitter slavery, suffering and hardships in Egypt. During the Lord's Supper we are to remember Christ's hardships and suffering.

Eaten with unleaven bread. Leavening is a form of corruption, sin, impurity. Paul gives us the spiritual application in 1 Corinthians 5:7-8. We are to be unleavened - clean out malice and evil from us. Jesus alludes to this in Matthew 16:6-12 when He says beware of the leaven of Pharisees and Sadducees.

The Israelites were to eat in haste with their shoes on, staff in their hand and ready to go, looking forward to their future as free men. We as Christians are to be ready to go - watching and waiting for Christ to come - looking forward to our future in heaven as men free from sin.

The Israelites put the blood on their doorposts several hours before midnight. The passing Egyptians must have thought that peculiar and ridiculous. It made them vulnerable to the spiteful Egyptians. But the blood of the lamb protected them from death.

We are to accept Christ as our Passover Lamb and let his blood protect us. We are perpetually being saved from the hand of the destroying angel when we have Christ's blood on our doorposts.

What does it mean to have Christ's blood on our doorposts?

It is the act of perpetually having a badge that can be seen, experienced, spit upon, and being made vulnerable like the Israelites were vulnerable with blood on their doorposts for the Egyptians to see and laugh, and revile.

It also means cleaning up our act, diligently searching for corruption and sin present in our lives - like the Jews meticulously cleaning their house of leaven with a candle and a feather.

It means doing everything that God commands us.
As we continue our study of Exodus, we shall observe many other things that are typical of Christ and the deliverance He has brought all men.

AIG Rips Off American Taxpayers

A few days ago AIG reported giving their management team 167 million dollars in bonuses after receiving nearly 180 billion dollars bailout money from the federal government. AIG promised the Obama Administration they would use the bailout money wisely; and not use the money for expensive gifts, trips, vacations, or bonuses. They lied. Immediately after getting their greedy hands on billions of bailout money, they cryptically doled out the millions among the upper management. Once again big corporation swindled the taxpayers out of billions for their own self-indulgence.

Between nine million to eleven million children in this country go to bed hungry every night. There are approximately two million to three million homeless children that wander the streets at night seeking food and shelter. Yet the federal government has done little to ease their pain and suffering. They will never see a financial bailout or even the most modest financial rescue. Their future for a decent life remains dire, if not hopeless. At the same time the Fat Cats at AIG are gorging themselves with the best that taxpayers’ money can buy.

AIG pilfered millions at the taxpayers’ expense. Giving themselves million dollar bonuses in a time of recessions is not only disgraceful it’s criminal.

President Obama promised the American people change to the way the government does business. If the President is serious about change, then his administration should seek criminal charges against everyone who paid themselves bonuses with taxpayers’ money. Americans are sick and tired of corporate thieves dipping their greedy hands into the taxpayers’ coffer while laughing in our face.

The time has come to put these criminals behind bars. Prosecuting AIG for fraud, conspiracy to defraud, treachery, and theft by deception would send a clear message to money hungry predatory corporations that the American people will no longer tolerate corporate gluttony. AIG’s criminal actions are outrageous, despicable, and inexcusable. AIG greedy thugs deserve nothing less than a raucous jail cell in some seedy prison with a burly guy named Bubba. Now that is what I call change!

LDS Church vs. Same Sex Marriage

Last week the Californians voted against the California initiative to ban same-sex-marriage in California. The LDS Church pumped 25 million dollars into the fray to fight against the same sex marriage initiative. A majority of Californians overwhelmingly voted against the same-sex-marriage initiative. Nationwide the gays and homosexuals were outraged; the matter is now headed toward the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Sacramento, California.

The LDS Church was founded on traditional family values and morals. It is the fundamental philosophy of their faith. The Church leaders teach traditional family values as the core of Godliness; and view traditional marriage as a most important Biblical law. Same-sex-marriage violates the essence of God’s law, therefore the LDS Church and a vast of other faiths entered into the same-sex-marriage fray as a conduit to ensure conventional American family values and morals. In taking a righteous stand for Church values the Gay community has accused the Church of intolerance, racism, haters of gays, and bigotry. This is not the case.

The LDS Church is one of the most generous and benevolent ministries worldwide. They welcome people of all faiths to fellowship with them, no matter what their sexual preferences are. The Church spends millions of dollars every year reaching out to the poor (church members and non-church members) with housing assistance, food, clothing, medical bills, and a host of other charitable needs. They are involved with local and national politics, social events, aid organizations, and scholastic scholarships. They make available Biblical agendas for kids, teenagers, young adults, the elderly, singles, and families.

The Church is not anti-gay, but rather pro family values. If the Church had failed to take a stand against California’s same-sex-marriage initiative, they would in essence have violated the very principles of their faith. Moral principles, ethics, Biblical doctrine, family significance, love, kindness, and forgiveness are the characteristics the LDS Church. Jesus said that the Church would be persecuted for righteousness sake. While some radical gays sling bigotry accusations at the Church, the Church continues to extend a hand of kindness toward to the gay community. Christians everywhere are obligated by the Word of God to love every person, no matter what their sexual preference may be, without compromising their doctrine of faith.

NEWARK, Texas — Here in the gentle hills of north Texas, televangelist Kenneth Copeland has built a religious empire teaching that God wants his followers to prosper.

Over the years, a circle of Copeland's relatives and friends have done just that, The Associated Press has found. They include the brother-in-law with a lucrative deal to broker Copeland's television time, the son who acquired church-owned land for his ranching business and saw it more than quadruple in value, and board members who together have been paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for speaking at church events.

Church officials say no one improperly benefits through ties to Copeland's vast evangelical ministry, which claims more than 600,000 subscribers in 134 countries to its flagship "Believer's Voice of Victory" magazine. The board of directors signs off on important matters, they say. Yet church bylaws give Copeland veto power over board decisions.

While Copeland insists that his ministry complies with the law, independent tax experts who reviewed information obtained by the AP through interviews, church documents and public records have their doubts. The web of companies and non-profits tied to the televangelist calls the ministry's integrity into question, they say.

"There are far too many relatives here," said Frances Hill, a University of Miami law professor who specializes in nonprofit tax law. "There's too much money sloshing around and too much of it sloshing around with people with overlapping affiliations and allegiances by either blood or friendship or just ties over the years. There are red flags all over these relationships."

Neither Kenneth Copeland nor John Copeland, Kenneth's son and the ministry's executive director, responded to interview requests.

Kenneth Copeland, 71, is a pioneer of the prosperity gospel, which teaches that believers are destined to flourish spiritually, physically and financially -- and share the wealth with others.

His ministry's 1,500-acre campus outside Forth Worth is testament to his success. It includes a church, private airstrip, a hangar for the ministry's aircraft and a $6 million, church-owned mansion.

Already a well-known figure, Copeland has come under greater scrutiny in recent months. He is one target of a Senate Finance Committee investigation into allegations of questionable spending and lax financial accountability at six large televangelist organizations that preach health-and-wealth theology.

All have denied wrongdoing, but Copeland has fought back the hardest, refusing to answer most questions from the inquiry's architect, Republican Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa.

The Senate committee didn't set out to determine whether Copeland or the others broke the law, although it could provide information to the Internal Revenue Service if something seems flagrantly wrong, a committee aide said. The main goal, Grassley has said, is to figure out whether existing tax laws governing churches are adequate, which could carry sweeping implications for all religious organizations.

The committee could subpoena Copeland if he remains uncooperative. Neither he nor John Copeland, his son and the ministry's chief executive officer, responded to interview requests.

A one-time pop singer, Copeland had a born-again experience and enrolled at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla. He worked as a pilot and chauffeur for Roberts himself.

He describes hearing his own call to preach standing in a dried-up riverbed.

Now a 500-employee operation with a budget in the tens of millions, Kenneth Copeland Ministries has won supporters worldwide through its conferences, prayer request network, disaster relief work, magazine and television program.

Kenneth Copeland Ministries is organized under the tax code as a church, so it gets a layer of privacy not afforded large secular and religious nonprofit groups that must disclose budgets and salaries. Pastors' pay must be "reasonable" under the federal tax code.

Copeland's current salary is not made public by his ministry. However, the church disclosed in a property-tax exemption application that his wages were $364,577 in 1995; Copeland's wife, Gloria, earned $292,593.

The Copeland family, however, is involved in ventures beyond the church world.

John Copeland, a self-described "cowboy at heart," has a side business in ranching. Beginning in 1993, he leased church land to run his business, El Rancho Fe, Spanish for "Ranch of Faith."

Five years later, the church separately sold John Copeland land for his ranch and residence.

Lawrence Swicegood, director of media relations for Kenneth Copeland Ministries, said in a written response to questions that appraisals were done to determine fair market value, and the board approved both transactions. The lease is a good deal for the church, he said. John Copeland must improve the land, and county officials confirmed the church gets a roughly $100,000 annual tax break for putting it to agricultural use.

While the purchase price is not public record, the 33-acre property would have been worth about $93,000 that year, said John Marshall, executive director of the Tarrant Appraisal District.

The land is now valued at $554,160 by the district.

Until recently, the ranch also sold four breeds of horses. The El Rancho Fe Web site advertised the integrity of the Copeland name as a selling point.

Ellen Aprill, a professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a former U.S. Treasury Department official, said leasing and selling land to the church's top executive raises concerns. Under IRS rules, nonprofits can be penalized or lose their tax-exempt status if an executive, board member or other insider receives an economic benefit above and beyond what the organization gets in return.

"The church and its board must take great care to make sure the payments are fair to the church," Aprill said. "The church says it does. But is not clear how we can know."

Suspect goes on wild ride with stolen ATM

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - There's probably an art to stealing — and cracking open — ATMs. But a man apparently hasn't figured out what it is.

Police say a 49-year-old man was arrested for prying an ATM loose from a credit union early Sunday by using a stolen skid loader. Then, in a bid to break open the cash machine, police say the suspect used the skid loader to drop the 3,000-pound machine straight down a 50-foot wooded embankment.

But things didn't go as planned. When the skid loader dropped down the hill, the man went with it.

The suspect took a wild ride down the embankment from the skid loader cage. The man, skid loader and ATM tumbled downhill through the woods.

He was found trapped inside the battered machine and was taken to a hospital for his injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.

Dear Senator,

The American Civil Liberties Union strongly urges you to vote “NO” on H.R. 6304, the FISA Amendment Acts of 2008. This bill unconstitutionally and unnecessarily permits the government to vacuum up Americans’ international communications, without a connection to al Qaeda, terrorism, or even to national security.

While there is limited prior review by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, the protection afforded by that review is almost completely illusory. H.R. 6304 also grants retroactive immunity to companies that facilitated warrantless wiretapping over the last seven years.

For these reasons, we ask you to stand with the Constitution and vote no on this overreaching legislation. Because this bill essentially eviscerates the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and many of the Fourth Amendment protections it contained, we will be scoring this vote. Our major concerns with this legislation include: H.R. 6304 ensures the dismissal of all cases pending against the
telecommunications companies that facilitated the warrantless
wiretapping programs over the last 7 years.

The test in the bill is not whether the government certifications were actually legal – only whether they were issued. Because issuance has been publicly documented, all the cases seeking to find out what these companies and the government did with our communications will be thrown out.1 This immunity not only denies justice to those whom the government spied on in the last seven years, but undercuts the entire incentive structure in FISA and will encourage telecommunications company law breaking in the future.

FISA has long contained provisions allowing Americans to seek civil redress in the courts, meaningful precisely in a situation such this where the government is complicit in the violation and criminal and other sanctions are highly unlikely.2 If an entire industry is exempted from civil liability for violating long-standing privacy laws, it will send a message to all the companies in possession of our most sensitive information that compliance with statutory protections is optional, because congress will bail them out after the fact.

No New Trial For Mexican on Texas Death Row

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that the Texas courts were not required to give a new hearing to a Mexican on the state's death row, despite a directive from President Bush and the finding of the World Court that the defendant's trial for murder violated U.S. treaty obligations.

By a vote of 6-3, the court held that neither that international judgment nor the treaty was sufficient to overcome a Texas procedural rule barring multiple appeals.

Bush had asked the judicial system of Texas, the state he once served as governor, to help the government "discharge its international obligations" by giving a new hearing to the convicted murderer, Jose Medellín, 33.

The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals refused, a decision the Supreme Court upheld Tuesday.

The court, in a majority opinion by Chief Justice John Roberts, concluded that the treaty at issue, the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, was not "self-executing," that is, it did not automatically become binding domestic law upon its ratification in 1969.

Consequently, only the president and Congress working together to enact further legislation, and not the president alone, could make the treaty enforceable against the states, the court said.

Medellin was tried and convicted in 1994 for the rape and murder of two teenage girls without being informed of his right to seek assistance from Mexican diplomats.

Such notification to foreign nationals facing criminal charges is required by the Vienna Convention.

By the time his lawyers raised the issue, after his conviction and direct appeals, the Texas courts held that it was too late.

Mexico filed a lawsuit in the International Court of Justice, usually known as the World Court, on behalf of 51 Mexicans on death row in various states who had not received their Vienna Convention notification. The court, in The Hague, ruled in 2004 that the United States was obliged to have the cases reopened and reconsidered.

At the heart of the Supreme Court's decision were the majority's twin conclusions that the treaty alone could not bind the states and that decisions of the World Court were not automatically enforceable in the domestic courts of countries under its jurisdiction.

Roberts noted that Article 94 of the U.N. Charter, which governs the enforceability of World Court decisions, provides that "each member of the United Nations undertakes to comply with the decision" of the World Court in any case to which it is a party. The chief justice said "undertakes to comply" suggests no more than a promise by a country to do its best.

In a dissenting opinion, Justice Stephen Breyer disagreed with that interpretation. He also said the majority had set too rigid a formula for deciding whether treaties were "self-executing." He warned that the decision threatened to destabilize the country's relations with treaty partners under dozens of treaties.

The two other dissenters were justices David Souter and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who signed Breyer's opinion.

Justice John Paul Stevens, while providing a sixth vote for the majority result, wrote separately and did not sign the chief justice's opinion.

He said the "undertakes-to-comply" phrase should be understood as a promise to enforce a World Court judgment.

Bush's Thirst For Torture

George Bush vetoed a law that banned the CIA from using torture, especially waterboarding, and other forms of illegal interrogation methods on prisoners of war.

Congressional leaders charge that Bush has compromised the moral and legal authority of the nation, thus placing American military and its diplomatic staff in danger of austere interrogation tactics from our enemies abroad.

The Geneva Convention has defined waterboarding as a form of torture, and as stipulated by the “Rules of War”, waterboarding is against the law. Yet this President seems to believe that He is above the law, that torturing our enemies is not only a correct option, it is morally right.

This administration wants Americans to believe that their platform is one of Christian principles, that God Himself has ordained George Bush as the ‘supreme ruler’ of the world. That he and his Whitehouse cronies are not subject to the laws of this nation, especially the Rules of the Geneva Convention.

George said the law would bind the hands of the CIA in questioning hardened terrorists. He stated that the CIA program to question (torture) terrorists had produced critical intelligence that has prevented a number of attacks.

As a nation built upon Christian principles, our founding fathers banned the use of torture in any form. Torture violates the sovereign principles of the Christian faith. Whenever torture is applicable, it debases the moral and ethical rule of law. As a nation of law, torture by any means must not be tolerated by its people.

To torture our enemies to justify the end result, makes us no better than our enemies that commit lawlessness to achieve their goals. The fact is we mirror our enemies when we break the law to achieve intelligence.

Free nations believe in the moral concept of law. It is the foundation to freedom. Free nations around the world have banned torture as a means to justify freedom. Unfortunately the CIA has tarnished the American flag in its surreptitious scheme to kidnap and torture, and violently murder insurgent suspects.

For years the CIA operated its ‘Rendition Program’ whereby they kidnapped men, women, and children off the streets of foreign nations, and held them in ‘black prisons’ located in countries where they were tortured on a daily basis.

After the CIA Rendition was exposed, nations around the world were shocked to learn that America not only endorsed kidnapping and torturing of their citizens, but that the CIA, a cloak-and-dagger agency was given the green light by George Bush to commit such inhumane torturous acts on private citizens as not seen since the Nazi era. Never mind that torture of private citizens violates International law, it is immoral, despicable, unconscionable, and appalling to all free nations.

Without honor there is no true sacrifice to freedom. To save face as a nation of moral nobility, America must end its barbaric acts of kidnapping and torture.

It was the Son of God that said, “If your enemy is thirsty give him something to drink, if he is hungry give him food, by doing this you heap coals of fire on his head.”

Sex Scandal Continue To Rock TBN

In 1996 the head of Trinity Broadcasting Net work, Paul Crouch, met with an employee of TBN at a cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains for a homosexual encounter. Lonnie Ford who worked for TBN and Paul Crouch for eight years had an on-again off-again homosexual relationship.

Ford, an ex-convict, drug user and convicted child molester, had been employed by TBN as a limo driver, telephone receptionist, and also as a photographer, even though he had few job skills and did not know how to operate a camera.

Crouch who has denied the homosexual relationship agreed to a financial settlement to keep Ford from going public about the affair. Gay lovers Ford and Crouch evidently had a falling out, and a legal dispute ensued. According to a TBN lawyer, Ford was given $425,000 in hush money by Crouch, and he agreed to keep quiet about his and Crouch's sexual relationship.

In 2004 Ford broke the terms of his silence when he decided to take his manuscript detailing the affair public.

TBN immediately responded in a hastily written statement, describing the allegations as “deplorable”, “Salacious” and “False”. Ford, however, maintained in a written statement that the sexual acts transpired on weekend visits to the cabin owned by TBN.

When the news of the sexual scandal broke, TBN lawyer Dennis Brewer said the Matt Crouch, Paul Crouch’s youngest son, told his law partner, David Middlebrook, “I am devastated. I am confronted with having to face the fact that my father is a homosexual.”

At the time of the investigation into the homosexual relationship, it was learned the Crouch’s, who claim to be humble folks of middle-class America, bought a $5million oceanfront home in the California yachting resort of Newport Beach. Crouch claimed the luxurious home was proof of the lavish rewards bestowed on them by the Almighty for their good works.

Millions of TBN partners in America and third world countries are poor, low income people that give sacrificially a portion of their income. While they struggle to meet daily needs, such as food and shelter, the Crouch’s have secretly lived the life style of the rich and famous.

In 1997 on TBN Crouch spewed hatred toward those critics that oppose him, “God, we proclaim death to anything or anyone that will lift a hand against this network and this ministry that belongs to you, God.”

Crouch eventually turned over TBN to his son Matthew Crouch, his wife and other relatives, but remains a central figure in the network daily operations.

Crouch claimed he paid Ford money to keep him from going public about the affair. However, after Ford goes public, Crouch denies there was a homosexual affair. Innocent men do not pay hush money for crimes they did not commit. Paul the Apostle said, “Our life is an open book, seen and read by all men.”

The question here “Is Lonnie Ford the only homosexual lover of Paul Crouch, or have there been others? As of this writing Crouch is keeping silent about past sexual liaisons. However, former TBN employees have come forward to say that Ford is not Crouch’s only gay lover. Until this matter is cleared up, TBN will be scarred with the sins of homosexually and misappropriation of millions of dollars.

The Army Admits To Secret Chemical Testing Cover-up

In the 1960s Army Scientists based in Dugway, Utah conducted 21 series of secret chemical and biological germ weapons tests on military personnel and civilians. For over forty years the army denied such tests were conducted, that is until recently.

The tested were conducted on military personnel and civilians without their knowledge. Over the last forty years, many of those tested have died of cancer and other deadly disease as a result from complications of the tests. Until this day, the Pentagon has denied any correlation of deaths connected to their secret chemical testing.

The Pentagon investigation has identified 5,842 members of the armed services that were secretly experimented on with deadly chemicals. As a result of the Pentagon’s investigation the names of those tested were forwarded to the Veterans Affairs Department should they apply for related disability or other health care.

The tests first came to light in 1995 by the Deseret News that obtained the data through the Freedom of Information Act. Military personnel sought the newspapers help, after complaining they were suffering from cancer and central nervous system ills blamed as a result of the tests. However the VA denied their claims because the Army claimed the tests never occurred.

Even after obtaining the report the Pentagon continued to deny the report until coming clean in 2003. It wasn’t until members of Congress, the VA, and military victims and civilians the Pentagon came clean in 2003 the initial research identified that such tests were conducted on military and civilian personnel.

The Pentagon had promised to release further information on the specific tests conducted, but as of yet they have not done so. Rep. Jim Matheson D-Utah, a co-sponsor of legislation to require the Defense Department to release the names of veterans that were unknowingly involved in the tests applauded the Pentagon’s release of names. However, as of this writing, the Pentagon still refuses to hold the army accountable, claiming there is no correlation between those affected and health care issues.

One of the series tests conducted used a germ called Bacillus Globigii that is potentially deadly to people already ill or sick. One of the series used a stimulant to test the ability of an aircraft-mounted device to potentially spread clouds of VX, a deadly chemical used as an aerial spray.

Other tests included the used of nerve gas spray on people to test how well a Marine nuclear –assembly team could perform duties in a contaminated environment. Many of those tested have either died of health complications or have contacted a serious illness, such as cancer.

The question here is, ‘Why is the government still denying the correlation between the tests and people’s illness?’ The government, not only kept the experiments secret, but has continued to lied about the health effects for over forty years. They claim it was done in the interest of national security.

It is now time for the government to act in the national interest of those Americans used as unsuspected guinea pigs. It is not only wrong what the government did, it is immoral and despicable to test humans with deadly chemicals and not take moral responsibility for their actions. The government says they will provide those people affected with limited medical care, and this is just as immoral. Meaning those affected with cancer or other illnesses must first convince the VA that the illness is a direct result from the chemicals tested on them. Those tested and the families of those now deceased should have full access to medical care, but also monetarily compensation as well.

The government says it will do right in this matter. Hmm... If they initially lied in the past, it is clearly evident they will continue to cover-up their moral responsibilities. As the old adage says, “Actions speak louder than words.”

Bill O'Reilly's Racist Remark

Mitchell Obama, the wife of Democrat Presidential hopeful Barrack Obama, stated at a Rally that, ‘for the first time she is proud of her nation.” Bill O’Reilly, a Republican conservative immediately responded on the O’Reilly Factor saying her comments were outrageous, and that he would hold off on calling for her “lynching.”

Mitchell Obama is black, as her husband. To insinuate any reference of a lynching is outrageous, despicable, and uncalled for. Unfortunately, O’Reilly has offered no apology, and neither has Fox News, whom O’Reilly works for. Instead, O’Reilly has denied he made the comment. Not only did O’Reilly say make the disgusting comment about lynching Mrs. Obama, he blatantly lied about calling for her lynching on national television.

A “noose” or any symbol associated with hanging, especially the term lynching is not only contemptible, it is dangerous to the black community is whole. Apparently O’Reilly believes lynching black people is an appropriate action. Americans, especially the black community are extremely hurt, disappointed, and most of all offended that a nationally known television commentator could be so insensitive. O’Reilly comment was nothing more than racist, bigoted, and narrow-minded. O’Reilly’s comments offended all civil rights minded Americans.

Even more offensive, neither Fox News nor O’Reilly has offered the Obamas an apology, which does not surprise me in the least. This is not the first time O’Reilly has been in hot water with Fox News. In 2004, Andrea Mackrias, a journalist for Fox News, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against O’Reilly and Fox News. Four other women also claimed O’Reilly sexually harassed them while working at Fox News.

To save face, Fox News has no alternative than to fire O’Reilly, or at least offer the black community an apology. However as it is, Fox News seems reluctant to do either. In an interview with Keith Obermann, Jessie Jackson has called for the FCC to investigate O’Reilly’s comment. I full hardily agree.

Fumbling, Bumbling, Idiots (FBI)

I was at a friend’s house the morning of September 11, 2001, the day terrorists flew commercial airplanes into the Twin Towers in New York. As all Americans, I was taken aback as these monumental Towers crumbled before my eyes. My first thoughts were, ‘How were terrorists able to adeptly accomplish a horrendous surprise attack of this nature on American soil, murdering 3,000 innocent lives? America’s counterterrorism intelligence agencies are the best in the world. How is it possible that they were blindsided and not able to prevent nineteen foreigners on a terrorists watch list from commandeering commercial airplanes?’

For the last seven years, the Bush Administration has said that neither the FBI nor the CIA knew before hand that such an attack was imminent. As far as the FBI Counterterrorism was concerned, the attack on the Twin Towers was a complete surprise. There was no evidence before 9-11 that Osama Bin Laden supporters were coordinating an attack on this level. However, as this report will reveal, the FBI was well aware in advance of 9-11 that terrorists attending civil aviation training were preparing to commandeer commercial airliners.

On 04/17/2000, the FBI Phoenix office conducted a “Full Field Investigation”. The purpose of the investigation was the possibility of a coordinated effort by Osama Bin Laden to send students to the United States to attend civil aviation universities and colleges.

The report says, “Phoenix has observed an inordinate number of individuals of investigative interest: who are attending or who have attended civil aviation universities and colleges in the State of Arizona. The inordinate number of these individuals attending these types of schools gives reason to believe that a coordinated effort is underway to establish a cadre of individuals who will one day be working in the civil aviation community around the world. These individuals will be in a position in the future to conduct terror activity against civil aviation targets.”

The report goes on to name a Saudi Arabian National and two Algerian Islamic extremists on a terrorists watch list attending civil aviation schools in Arizona. A reliable confidential informant (RCI) provided information that Zakaria Mustapha Soubra was a supporter of Osama Bin Laden, and that he arrived in Arizona from London on August of 1999 on an F-1 student visa to attend Emery Riddle University in Prescott. Emery only teaches courses related to the field of aviation.

The report continues to say, that within weeks of his arrival to Arizona, Soubra organized anti United States and Israel demonstrations on and around the campus of Arizona State University. He also established and organized an Islamic student association on Emery campus. Further the university provided the FBI information on several Sunni Muslim associates of Soubra who arrived at the university around the same time of Soubra, with the same radical fundamentalist’s views. According to the FBI they came from Kenya, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, India, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

Soubra and his associates are members of Fatwa which has proclaimed jihad against the U.S. and British government. Soubra was interviewed by the FBI at his residence on 04/07/200 and 05/11/2000. Soubra stated that he considers the US government and US military forces in the Gulf as illegitimate military targets of Islam. He also stated the targeting of the US Embassies in Africa was legitimate.

The FBI report says that Soubra was defiant and a hardcore Islamic extremists with ties to Osama Bin Laden who views the US as an enemy of Islam. The FBI reported that it is more than a coincidence that Soubra and his associates who are supporters of Osama Bin Laden are attending flight school.

Two months before 9-11, the FBI Phoenix office provided the above information to its New York Bureau, and advised them of a potential terrorist attack using commercial airliners. What did the FBI do with this information? Not a damn thing. They took no action at all. They went about their merry way as if to say, terrorists training to fly commercial airliners are no big deal. Here we have Osama Bin Laden supporters on a terrorists watch list threatening jihad on US soil, and the FBI does nothing in the way of preventing a foreseeable attack.

Through complete ignorance and stupidity, the FBI failed to arrest these terrorists, or even deport them. Talk about the ‘Spirit of Dumb’, the FBI’s plan of action was to continue a future investigation. While these Fumbling, Bumbling, Idiots (FBI) sat on their laurels twiddling their thumbs, Osama Bin Laden orchestrated the largest domestic attack on American soil, it is equally true the FBI is guilty of willfully allowing the mass murder of 3,000 innocent men, women and children by its do nothing policy. Surely the FBI moniker is Fumbling, Bumbling, and Idiots.

The God Kind of Faith - Part 2 of 3

We first learned that a measure of faith is given to every person at the time of their new birth. We also learned in order to grow in faith, we must study the Word of God, and then we are to remind the Lord of His Word in Prayer.

Not to long ago one of my friends was sick in the hospital. He had been praying for healing, but his condition turned from bad to worse. Needless to say, he was greatly discouraged. He just could not understand why the Lord did not heal him. Was it his lack of faith, he questioned?

I reminded my friend that God has many alternatives to healing. One of His alternatives is using the skilled hands of surgeons and medicine. Yet he was told by other preachers that real faith only accepted the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit for healing. I responded, “Should your car blow a head casket, would you not take it to a mechanic to be fixed? The God kind of faith is using wisdom in time of our need. It allows God to choose His ways and means in our deliverance. The Lord may opt for a miraculous healing without a doctor, or he may elect to guide the skilled hands of a surgeon. Either way, our faith lies confidently in His Word for healing.

Once I was able to convince my friend that faith is not limited to a single decision, he was able to accept that fact that God honors our faith, yet it is His decision to the method for our deliverance. Faith accepts God’s Word as the final authority for what we believe for, no matter what form of method He prescribes.

Faith is simply accepting God’s Word at face value. What the Word declares, God will do. It is up to us to accept His Word as the final authority of our faith. In the case of my friend’s need for healing, faith does not deny he is sick, rather it denies the right of sickness to remain. The disease is real. Pain is real. We can’t deny these facts. Yet God’s Word is the final authority over the disease and pain.

Faith is a simple process, we accept God at His Word, even in the mist of the most trying times. Then we allow Him to take the necessary action through the power of the Holy to accomplish the end result of our faith. The Holy Spirit is moved by faith, and faith is the key to God’s power. As we worship Him in faith, the Holy Spirit responds in our behalf. Jesus said in the Book of John, “Whatever you ask in my Name, that will I do.” Faith is asking, and then believing what we ask for is ours, and then we accept it as fact, even before we see the results. Faith is a substance of things hoped for. Whatever you are hoping for, faith is the key to receiving it.

US Customs Agents Murder Baby

On February 15, 2008, Baby Michael had been flown to Honolulu from Pago Pago, American Samoa for emergency heart surgery, accompanied by his mother and nurse. When they arrived at the Honolulu Airport, the baby died while they were detained inside a US Customs room, where they were being held by custom agents. Baby Michael Tony Futi was 14 days old.

US Custom Agents refused the baby emergency medical assistance, nor did they allow a medical emergency team to enter the room. Customs Agents locked little Baby Michael, his mother, and his nurse in a cold holding facility (cell) while custom agents purposely went about other business.

Delegate Enl Faleomavaega has asked the Department of Homeland Security to investigate the baby’s death. Faleomavaega called for the probe in a letter issued to Homeland Security chief, Michael Chertoff. The baby’s family lawyer also announced plans to sue the federal government over the baby’s death.

After 911, the government has taken unusually harsh measures of entry at US Airports. Their objective, they claim, is to weed out terrorists or suspected terrorists through vigilant scrutiny of foreign nationals entering the US via airports. However, in the case of baby Michael, his medical records clearly showed that he was in need of immediate life threatening medical attention. Further, the baby’s mother and nurse had in their possession all of the proper documents to enter the US, along with the baby’s hospital medical clearance where Michael was to receive an emergency heart operation.

Customs Agents behavior toward the Futi’s was no less than that of being potential terrorists, ignoring the fact the baby was in jeopardy of dieing. There has been no apology offered to the Futi family, nor an acceptance of responsibility of the baby’s death by any US Customs officials.

What happened to baby Michael should have never happened in the first place. Michael’s mother and nurse have no history of criminal behavior, nor was there anything suspicious about their entry that warranted locking them in a holding cell. Yet, US Customs Agents insensitive actions were despicable, shameful, brutal, and down right unconscionable. All people in law enforcement are held to a higher degree of accountability than the public. They are sworn by oath to protect the public. The US Custom Officials violated said oath when they denied Michael’s right to emergency medical treatment. And that violation was clearly committed under “Color of Law.”

Baby Michael died maliciously at the hands of US Customs Officials who willfully ignored the baby’s need for emergency medical care. What they did, or in this case what they refused to do, stops short of cold-blooded murder. To save face before the world and this great nation, the US government must take the necessary steps to prosecute those agents involved in Michael’s death. Anything short of murder charges is a slap in the face of the Futi family and the government of American Samoa.

Americans across this nation are outraged, shocked, and sadden by the US Custom Officials heartless actions. To ensure this never happens again, we Americans must never forget this tragic and senseless death. As are most crimes committed by U.S. Agents, this one will most likely be swept under the rug.

The God Kind Of Faith Part 1 of 3

The Bible says, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him (the Lord). Often I am ask about faith, what it is, and how to use it to overcome circumstances we are confronted with, especially for physical healing, finances, marital issues, including issues with our children.

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for…” Notice it says faith is a substance (essence) of things hoped for. In other words, faith is the basis of what we believe. The Word says, “Let us draw near (to God) with the full assurance of faith…) The question here is faith more than conjuring a positive attitude?

When you, by faith, accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, your spirit was regenerated a new, or born again. The old man of sin perished, the new man, your spirit, was made whole. At that moment, the Holy Spirit took permanent residence inside you. Your body now houses the Spirit of God along with your spirit (the real you). When this happened, God imparted to you “a measure of faith”. In other words, a small portion of faith was imparted to your spirit man, the real you.

So if I have faith, then why do I struggle with faith, you ask? It was your spirit that was made new at the time of your “new birth, not your mind. The mind is where the warfare of faith and doubt war against. For instance, your mind still retains the sae me thoughts, doubts and fears before you were born again. The Apostle Paul said in Corinthians 2:10 “Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus…” How is that possible?

The first step to building faith is reading the Word. God’s Word not only encourages us in our walk with Him, it is the foundation to building faith. Again the Word says that we are to remind the Lord of His Word. His Word says “We are healed by the stripes of Jesus.” When sickness attacks our bodies, we remind the Lord that we are healed by His stripes. The Word also says, “My God shall supply all your need according to the riches of His glory.” In financially difficult times, we remind the Lord it is He that meets our financial needs accord to His riches.

God is not short concerning his promises. The promises of God are “yes” and “amen” to the believers. As we study the scriptures, faith is imparted to our heart. The inspiration of the Word builds faith. When we pray the Word it is the communication of faith to a loving Heavenly Father that is eager to answer our prayers.

The first step to getting a measure of faith is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. That leads us to step two, faith comes from hearing the Word (studying the Word); and step three we pray the Word. As we do, faith comes alive in us.

What in the hell is going on with law enforcement officers these days? Talk about police abuse. A Hillsborough County Sheriff Officer, dumps a quadriplegic man out of his wheelchair while he was being booked into jail, as three supervisors stood by and watched the abuse. Other deputies are caught on video tape laughing as the quadriplegic man lay helplessly on the floor, while Deputy Charlotte Marshall Jones searched the man’s pockets.

Brian Sterner, who is a wheelchair bound quadriplegic, was being booked into Florida’s Hillsborough County Jail by Deputy Charlottte Marshal Jones, when she arbitrarily decided that Sterner was faking his paralysis. Deputy Jones dumps Sterner out of the wheelchair, causing him to crash to the floor with such force that it appeared he had injured two ribs.

Sterner reportedly suffered a spine injury during a wrestling accident when he was 18, and that left him bound to his wheelchair. Records show his arrest was due to charges of fleeing and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer from an incident on October 25, 2007. Those same records show Sterner was cited at that time for blocking an intersection.

Chief Deputy Jose Docobo said after looking at the jail video of the incident , he was astonished. "I was appalled," said Docobo. "Obviously the actions are indefensible at every level."

Other Deputies involved in the incident include Corporal Decondra Williams, Corporal Steven Dickie, and Sergeant Gary Hinson. Docobo says none of the supervisors filed a report or told anyone about the incident, even though they were nearby and witnessed the incident.

Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident. All across America, desensitized law enforcement personnel are flagrantly physically abusing suspects for misdemeanor infractions. Those most vulnerable to police abuse are juveniles, the elderly, and the physically handicapped.

In California, Florida, New York, Texas, and New Jersey, teenage girls as young as 13 were raped, forced to commit oral copulation, and other sexual acts upon police officers, jailers, and probation officers. The very people sworn to protect these young people are nothing more than terrorists with a badge. Unfortunately, very little is has been done by way of criminal charges filed against corrupt police officers. Across the board the punishment is either suspension without pay, or job termination.

In the case of Brian Sterner, Deputy Docobo said the department would proffer an apology. Wow!!! A financial compensation, accompanied with the firing of all the officers involved would be more appropriate. Police abuse cannot, and must not be tolerated, even in its simplest form. In the past corrupt cops were given a slap on the wrist then sent on their merry way to work at another police department.

Deputy Charlotte Jones and her supervisors are no less guilty of domestic terrorism on a citizen than you or I, if we’d committed this sadistic attack on a wheelchair bound cripple. Broward County Sheriff says he wants to do right in this situation. Filing criminal charges on those officers involved would be a start in the right direction. Chances are this sorry of an excuse sheriff will offer Deputy Jones an easy way out with a measly 30 day suspension without pay.

They don’t want proprietary business information” divulged, one activist said. “It increases the anxiety level.”

Are You A Terrorist?

First let me say, terrorism by any means, whether by bodily injury or by property damage is not acceptable by America’s society. People that commit terrorist acts for their “cause” are a threat to society, themselves, and the cause they believe in.

On April 19,1995, Timothy McVeigh, along with Terry Nichols, bombed the Alfred P. Murrah, Federal Building in Oklahoma city, killing 168 men, women, and children. It was the worst domestic terrorist act committed by American citizens. A year later, Eric Robert Rudolph bombed the 1996 Olympics.

Rudolph was found guilty in the July 27, 1996, bombing at Atlanta's downtown Olympic Park that killed a woman, wounded 111 others and stunned a world focused on the fanfare of the 25th modern Summer Olympics. Rudolph also plead guilty in a bombing at an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Ala., that killed a police officer, and bombings outside a gay nightclub and an office building in Atlanta that contained an abortion clinic. In all, about 150 people were wounded.

The FBI believes McVeigh and Rudolph are part of the past. Since 9-11 the FBI’s focus of home spun domestic terrorism has changed from the 700 known white supremacists cell groups spread across the United States, or anti-government groups, or the Animal Liberation Front (ALF), which is estimated by the FBI to have committed more than 600 criminal acts of violence in the U.S., to a more common government threat: the average American that believes in the U.S. Constitution.

If you’re an American, under expansive definitions being used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and several states in their counterterrorism training, you just might be a domestic terrorist. The FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force in Phoenix, Ariz., distributed a brochure to local law enforcement agencies a few years ago which defines terrorism as individuals or groups within the U.S. who engage in criminal activity to promote political or social changes. This is correct, as far as it goes, but the brochure then gives a listing of “suspicious” activities, telling law enforcement officers: “If you encounter any of the following, call the Joint Terrorism Task Force.”

Some of the things for which you should be reported as a suspected terrorist include the usual things, like weapons of mass destruction, and hate groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and Neo-Nazis, but also includes people who “Make numerous references to US Constitution,” “Claim driving is a right, not a privilege” and “Attempt to ‘police the police.” In addition, “People who are political defenders’ of the US Constitution against federal government and the UN,” computer hackers, and “Lone Individuals” should also be reported.

Now let me see if I have this right. People who make numerous references to the U.S. Constitution are now considered by the FBI as home spun terrorists. Then according to the government’s logic, Presidential Candidate, Ron Paul is a terrorist. After all, Ron Paul is a strong advocate for Constitutional Rights. Does this list also consider CNN’s Lou Dobbs and Keith Obermann political terrorists?

The truth is, the government has expanded its terrorism list to include anyone that speaks out against the political climate of the day, mainly the Bush Administration. Since 9-11, the Constitution has become nothing more than window dressing on vellum. After the tragedy of 9-11, the Whitehouse fed the public a plate of deceit based on a campaign of fear. The government immediately seized the opportunity to chip away our Constitutional Rights until the very core of its fundamental rights have been weaken to nothing more than an American symbol.

The American flag is an icon of the American Constitution. For the last seven years, the Bush Administration has subjugated civil liberties in exchange for security. Law enforcement officers are to immediately report to the Joint Terrorism Task Force any person as a terrorist that even mentions his or her Constitutional Rights.

I for one am not a terrorist, nor do I condone violence of any kind. I am an American that strongly believes in the intrinsic value of the Constitution. According to the government that makes me a radical anarchist bent on some hellish revolt to overthrow the government. As an American, I am grateful to live in a nation with a Constitution such as ours. Unfortunately, government abuse is in the works to eradicate our Constitutional freedom in exchange for fascist security.

A Keystone Cop Moment

The cops in Provo, Utah are usually adept law enforcement professionals. Most are courteous, considerate, and respectful. Yet, they do have their bumbling moments in their pursuit of the bad guy. Yesterday afternoon, I had the privilege to watch close-up a Keystone Cop moment in action.

I was a passenger in a friend’s car, when suddenly a slue of police cars came barreling toward us. We were stopped at a traffic light with two other cars ahead of us. The first patrol car nearly hit the back of our car, as he came to a screeching halt. Another cop pulled along side us on our right, impatiently waiting to turn right at the signal light. The six other cop cars behind us, pell-mell out of their vehicles, and made a Keystone dash to a white van parked at the curbside.

After a quick look inside the van, they apparently realized they had the wrong vehicle. They made a comical mad dash back to their vehicles, bouncing off one another like a rubber ball hitting a wall. The cop car along side us, and the one behind us, finally weaved their way around the waiting traffic to another white van, also parked at the curbside. They too fumbled out from their patrol cars, with the other cops catching up to them.

It was purely a scene out of a Charlie Chaplin movie. They all surrounded the vehicle with their guns drawn as they stumbled closer to get a view inside the van, when it dawned on them the vehicle they were looking for, was just a block ahead of them. So off the Keystones went in a mad furry to get their man. Only as they sped off, three of the police vehicles had to swerve out of the way from hitting one another, two other patrol cars nearly hit parked civilian vehicles, and even funnier, the other police cars were blocked by traffic.

When the light finally changed, my friend and I decided to follow the Keystones as they stopped, yet another white van. By now we were laughing hysterically. The scene was as comical as the first two stops, only this time they were able to apprehend their suspect. The poor Hispanic suspect did not speak English, and there was no one among the police officers that spoke Spanish. The communication gap between the suspect and Provo’s finest was as wide as the English Channel.

To their credit, the police (however bumbling the scene was) did capture the villain and hauled him off to jail. Our cops are usually the best in law enforcement, unless they are having a Keystone Cop Moment, such as this one. God bless the men and women in blue.

Taser Happy Cops

Most Police Officers are honest, decent, hard working people that take their oath of upholding the law seriously. However there are a few rogue officers that see themselves as Wyatt Earp of the modern frontier. (Taser first, cover-up later) Let’s take the case of Malaika Brooks, an eight month pregnant woman that was Tasered by Seattle police officer Juan Ornelas for refusing to sign a traffic ticket.

The eight months pregnant, Ms Brooks was rushing her son to school, when she was stopped by Officer, Juan Ornelas, for speeding. The officer ordered Ms. Brooks to sign the traffic ticket he had issued, however, the pregnant woman refused to sign the ticket because she felt she wasn’t speeding. A verbal confrontation ensued, and when Ms. Brooks continued her refusal to sign the ticket, Officer Ornelas, Tasered the pregnant woman with a 50,000 volt stun gun in the presence of her infant child, then charged her with resisting arrest.

Nationwide 131 people have died from stun gun trigger happy police officers. It is estimated that nearly one thousand stun gunned victims have been hospitalized for serious bodily injury due to police officers reckless regard for citizens’ safety. Of the 131 stun gun deaths, 80% were for misdemeanor traffic violations.

The police charge that Tasering is an effective tool that benefits the police and public. They claim Tasers have no harmful side effects, except a temporary disabling of citizens they arrest. A 50,000 volt Taser not only disables a person, medical research clearly shows that the central nervous system, including the brain stem, endures minor, if not, irreparable damage. In Ms. Brooks’ case, she suffered serious burns from the Taser, and nerve cell damage to the brain and throughout her systemic nerve cells.

According to the Department of Justice’s records, law enforcement agents have Tasered children as young as seven. Scores of pregnant women, such as Ms. Brooks were Tasered by police officers without any health regards to the unborn child. In twenty recorded cases, the unborn child was either breached, still born; brain damaged, or encountered some other life threatening health issue.

Recently, I encountered first hand as three burly policemen approached a young boy in a Wyatt Earp fashion, for a simple misdemeanor warrant. Two of the officers held their hands on their stun guns, while the other officer called for backup. As it turned out, the warrant was nothing more than a simple violation for walking his pet without a pet license. The poor boy was frightened out of his mind as the officers told him that any sudden move would result in a 50,000 volt Taser. The child was handcuffed, and hauled off to jail for not licensing his pet. Is this what America’s society has come too? If 131 men, women, and children were gunned down by the police for simple misdemeanors, we’d all be outraged. Yet that is exactly what has happened, only it wasn’t a police special or a 357 magnum, it was something just as worse: 50,000 volts of electricity fried 131 people to death by police stun guns.

While Americans all have the highest regards for police officers that uphold the law, it is the “Dirty Harry” cops, the trigger happy Taser rogues that give law enforcement their rotten image. Without restraints, police officers are nothing but sadistic government agents. Unless laws are enacted to protect the public from Taser happy cops, it won’t be long before we all cry out, “Don’t Taser me bro.”

Project Black Knight: Classified Pentagon Project

When you thought the government could not be any dumber, they out do themselves once again. In 1995, with a 20 million dollar grant from the Pentagon, retired army officer Colonel Jonathan Blaque headed up a top classified US Pentagon project, called, “Project Black Knight.” Colonel Blaque was an avid practitioner of the occults, indulging into such matters as astroprojection, remote viewing, teleportation, telekinesis, Tara cards, séances, etc.

Colonel Blaque tested members from America’s elite for armed forces, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Echo for abnormal psychic abilities. Each person was run through a series of tests that included their capacity for abnormal psychic powers, especially in telekinesis, and remote viewing. The subjects also had to personally experience two astroprojection occurrences.

Under the direction of Colonel Blaque, those chosen for Project Black Knight were housed at a secured building, marked “Classified, Unauthorized Personnel Forbidden Entrance.” Further, all subjects were single, and forbidden all communication with their fellow soldiers, friends, and family members. All mail was censured coming in and out. Their housing facilities were bugged, and all telephone conversations were recorded.

Blaque, along with Doctor Bruce Goldberg, a doctor of paranormal psychology out of southern California, claimed that with the right coaching, it was possible for the human body to dematerialize and rematerialize to a predestinated place determined by the subject matter.

The scope of Project Black Knight was four fold: First, was teleportation, either to past history events, such as World War II, or to change past domestic events, or to alter future events. Second, the teleporter was to teleport with the latest military weapon. Three, he was to gather intelligence on foreign enemies, and four, to assassinate leaders of rogue nations, such as, Adolph Hitler, thereby changing the outcome of world history forever.

Here is how Project Black Knight worked. Each day, for five hours, the subjects were brought into a room with separate cubicles. Each cubicle consisted of two chairs, one for the subject, the other for his coach. There was a sofa, similar to a settee, video cameras, and recorders. The cubicles were also monitored by surveillance cameras, monitors, and two-way windows monitored by Colonel Blaque, the CIA, members of the Pentagon, and civilian and military doctors.

The subject was told to sit in a chair with his back straight, and his feet squarely on the floor. Two feet from the subject on a wall was a three inch black dot. The coach instructed the subject to think of a familiar destination, and to focus on the black dot until the dot flashed to a purplish, dark-blue. The subject was mentally reinforced by his coach that the black dot represented a worm hole, and that at will, he was able to travel through the “worm hole” to his preset destination. After five hours of coaching without a break, the subjects were told to lie down on the settee with their eyes closed. The coach would then lead the subjects through a series of peaceful meditation, until their minds were emptied of all negative thoughts. Then the subjects were instructed to select a preset destination in their mind. As instructed by his coach, the subjects were to intensely see in their mind the arrival their destination. They were informed that by yielding to their coach’s instruction, they would soon experience a body vibration and an unusual feeling in top of their head, where the subjects would hear a “loud pop”. At this point the subjects were ready to rematerialize and travel through the worm holes. This nonsense went on for nearly two more hours per day.

To overcome their mental and physical strain, and to facilitate their concentration, the subjects were injected daily with a non identified bluish chemical substance, and other psychedelic drugs. Through a series of concentrated sublingual suggestions, the subjects constantly reaffirmed to themselves to “kill” “kill” “kill”. During periods of sleep, sublingual suggestions of teleportation and astroprojection were piped into the subjects’ room. Over and over they were told they possessed teleportation abilities, and to kill on command without reservations.

If a subject showed signs of a mental and/or physical breakdown (as most did), he went through a series of deprogramming. Project Black Knight operated for five years at the direction of this fruitcake. During this time, all participants experienced some evidence of a mental breakdown; eventually they all were quietly discharged from their military duties. Not once did the subjects ever accomplish a teleportation episode, nor were they able to gather intelligence information through remote viewing on foreign nationals

In the five years of the classified Project Black Knight, at a cost of 20 million tax payers’ dollars, all subjects eventually ended up in psychiatric treatment, in prison, died of unexplained physical complications, or committed suicide. Jonathan Blaque’s Project Black Knight was a complete failure. In 2000, the Pentagon honored Blaque for his ‘heroic patriotism’ with another idiotic Pentagon classified project. Talk about the spirit of dumb. Its time for Colonel Blaque and his Pentagon fools to teleport a brain, this time one that preferably works.

Polyester Faith - Virgin Wool Faith

Two churches that I am personally acquainted with are currently in a building fund raising project. One church has taken on a huge debt, (Polyester Faith), and the other church has chosen to be debt free (Virgin Wool Faith) by raising the full capital for their building project. We’ll start with the polyester faith first.

Polyester Faith

First, let’s describe the term polyester faith. Polyester is a cheap synthetic oil product that is mainly used in clothing and plastics. The 1970s was the notorious years of discounted polyester suits, pants, and shirts. Stores such as Wal-Mart, Kmart, J.C. Penney, and most cheap discount stores sell polyester garments. The poor and indigents are synonymous when it comes to cheap, shoddy polyester clothing.

This polyester church (RCC) consists mostly of poor indigents that do not have a pot to cook in and a plate to eat off. Approximately 100 people attend this church on a weekly basis. Out of their 100 parishioners, 70% are indigent street urchins. Out of the other 30%, less than 20% of those support the church financially. This particular church meets every Sunday in a local movie theater at an enormous weekly cost to the church. Three years ago, the church sold its original church building for approximately $250,000, in which all the money has been spent foolishly on renting the above-mentioned movie theater, and other non-essentials to the church’s financial good. The money now spent, the church is broke and barely able to pay rent, and unable to meet its financial obligations.

Last November, RCC agreed to purchase an old three story building at a cost of 1.5 million dollars, which sits in the middle of an old abandoned car lot. The building itself is planned to house a small restaurant and meeting place for their youth. The problem is the church is broke, with very little income to barely meet their current needs. According to their agreement with the lender, RCC must first raise $300,000 dollars within 90 days. Since November of last year, the church has barely raised $5,000 dollars, yet they foolishly believe that they are in the Lord’s will.

Is it God’s will to obligate so few people with such an enormous debt without any financial resources? Most financial consultants would advise RCC leadership that they are sailing into turbulent waters. It is never the Lord’s will to strap his people with heavy financial burdens, especially in these trouble times. Would this pastor tell a financially strapped parishioner to go out and buy a new Cadillac, and the Lord will meet the obligations? That would be ridiculous, if not insane. Then why would this pastor take on a huge financial burden without first having the resources to meet the obligations? This is nothing but cheap polyester faith, deceiving them into believing they’re in God’s perfect will. This church is headed for disaster. Most likely RCC will not be around by the end of 2008.

Virgin Wool Faith

Virgin wool is 100% pure wool. It is the finest of all garments. This is where CEVF enters in.

CEVF’s pastor is a meticulous man for details. This man of God was once an administrator of a Christian school, whereas part of his job was overseeing the school’s budget. CEVF owns a church building that houses 600 people. They have out grown their old church, and now are in a building fund raising project. To date CEVF has raised nearly $900,000 dollars. Their goal is to sell their old church, which is estimated to be around 2.5 million dollars, plus to raise another 2 million for their new church. The church currently meets at a local high school for their Sunday services, while maintaining the old church for offices. The rest of the church is rented out to a day school; this money is going toward their weekly church operations.

This pastor refuses to burden the church with huge debts and enormous financial obligations. He has rather decided to go debt free, therefore relieving the church body from an unnecessary inconvenience. He has recognized the importance of being debt free, and the liberation of financial bondage placed on the church. This pastor is a wise man, who is building a solid foundation of financial freedom. While RCC continues to needlessly struggle financially, CEVF continues to prosper under the direction of an astute church leader.

Both pastors are good, decent servants of Christ. Both men are hard working, honest, and faithful, with a vision for Christ. However, the first one is on a destination of financial failure; the other one has chosen the path to financial success and freedom. Surely this is virgin wool faith. CEVF will be around for many years to come.

Bill O'Reilly's Sex Pervsion

On October 13, 2004, Andrea Mackris, a former FOX News Corporation journalist, filed a sexual harassment complaint in New York, (Case No. 04114558) naming Bill O’Reilly and FOX News Channel as respondents. The law suit alleges that on or about May 2002, through January 2004, that Bill O’Reilly maintained a virulently hostile work environment through explicit, rampant, pervasive and continued sex discrimination, and sexual harassment against, Andrea Mackris, and other female employees.

The law suit states that in early May 2001, Bill O’ Reilly invited Ms. Mackris out to dinner, purportedly to discuss her future at FOX. It was during the course of the dinner, Bill O’Reilly suggested to Ms. Mackris, “Use your vibrator to blow off steam. You got a vibrator don’t you?” O’Reilly then suggested they have telephone sex, whereby he would tell her sexual stories. Further, at another work related dinner, Bill O’Reilly suggested that Ms. Mackris and that a friend of hers, “go back to a hotel together to have sex. He suggested that the women needed a “real man” and offered sexual lessons.

It was in August 2004, while at a work related dinner, that Bill O’Reilly suggested performing oral sex upon Ms. Mackris. And that she was to perform fellatio upon his “big cock.” It was during this course of conversation, that Bill O’Reilly used a vibrator upon himself and ejaculated. O’Reilly then threatened to destroy Ms. Mackris’ career if she complained of his disgusting, lewd and sexual fantasies with her.

Apparently, O’Reilly is two-faced in his moral values. On his show “The O’Reilly Factor” O’Reilly pretends to be a man of high morals, of Christian principles, and high ethics. The truth is Bill O’Reilly is a hypocrite, a charlatan, a sham, a liar, and a sexual pervert. After Ms. Mackris filed her sexual harassment law suit, other female employees at FOX complained that Bill O’Reilly sexually harassed them. The women stated that O’Reilly often masturbated, and fondled his genitals at FOX. Hmm… Makes a person wonder what O’Reilly is really doing with his hands while interviewing guests on The O’Reilly Factor. A more appropriate name for the O'Reilly Factor should be “The O’Reilly Masturbator”.

Predator Pay Day Loans & The Mob - Part 1 of 2

Last year a friend of mine took out a $400 dollar title car loan from a pay day loan company. He agreed to pay back $530 in thirty days at 462 % interest, with the option of paying $118 to extend the loan for ten days. The $118 dollars was for the right to extend the loan, which was not applied against the original loan of $530. My friend was unable to pay the $530 loan on time, so he paid an extended loan four times, which is the maximum by state law. In the meanwhile the original loan collected a penalty at 462% interest, which accumulated to over $800 dollars. His debt had now accumulated to $1,272 from a $400 dollar loan. Predator loan companies were given the green light to loan shark at a minimum of 462% percent interest rate by state and federal law.

In the early eighties, mob figures such as Gene Gotti, under the direction of reputed mob boss, John Gotti, members of the Gambino Group, were on the hunt to launder money from their drug trafficking operations. The Gambino Group found the perfect money laundering scheme through “front shops” known as pay day loans. Gene Gotti along with John Carneglia, a cheap gangster in an expensive suit, sought out reputable business men to run the predator loan companies, such as Check City, Quick Loan, Easy Cash, and a host of other predator loan companies. Since the mid eighties, Check City has grown from a small store front loan company to a lucrative nationwide business.

Chicago mob boss, James Marcello, with his longtime friend Joey “The Clown” Lombardo, followed suit behind the Gambino Family. Laundered money from his heroin and cocaine distribution was fronted through Chicago’s predator pay day loan companies. This brings us to Joseph Capana, a contemptible Chicago hood, and drug dealer. For years, every Monday morning, Joseph Capana’s private plane secretively flew from Chicago to Mexico, and back to Chicago with a load of fifty pounds of cocaine. Capana lived a well-to-do life off the backs of his drug addicted victims. Capana also owned and operated Chicago’s “Capana Lounge” night club, a favorite hangout of mob boss James Marcello and Joey “The Clown” Lombardo.

At the advice of Marcello, Capana help set up predator pay day loans through out Chicago, which eventually spread throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey with the assistance of mob associates, Edward Wagner and Danilo “Danny” Starita, which ran a sports-gambling ring in Philadelphia. Wagner was a longtime friend of mob boss, Joseph “Skinny Joey” Merlino, who is now serving life in a New Jersey prison.

America’s poorest societies are the victims of predator pay day loan companies, including our military soldiers and their families. Predator pay day loans are deliberately setup to make sure that their victims cannot pay off the original loan, thereby forcing the borrower to purchase extended time at an enormous sum of money. The moment a borrower enters the door of a predator loan company, they are unwittingly swept into a web of promises of a quick loan with easy payments. Predator loan companies have profited billions, and continue to profit off the backs of America’s poor, especially military personnel.

The top three Democrat Presidential contenders have stated publicly that as President, they would introduce legislation to abolish predator pay day loans. This will never happen. Predator pay day loan companies pay out millions of dollars to hired lobbyists to represent their shady loan sharking activities before members of congress and state legislatures. It is a fact that members of congress and members of state legislatures have received millions in kickback schemes from predator pay day loan companies.

Take the case of disgraced Congressman, Duke Cunningham, from California. Cunningham pleaded guilty to accepting two million dollars in bribery from defense contractors. Further, pay day loan lobbyists funneled thousands of dollars into Cunningham’s dirty little hands for his congressional influence. In other words, Cunningham persuaded his fellow congressmen to turn a blind eye to predator pay day loan companies’ corruption.

Pay day loan companies have grown from small mob run front stores to a multi billion dollar industry. According to the Department of Justice, pay day loan companies nationwide have garnered twice the profit than Las Vegas Casinos combined. In a town of a hundred thousand populations there is an average of no less than 20 to 30 pay day loan companies, with hundreds of others spreading across the United States every year. Pay day loan companies are one of the most lucrative and fastest growing businesses in the U.S.

Compared to 462% percent interest, the borrower has a better chance of surviving financially at a blackjack table in a Las Vegas casino. These predator loan companies argue that they give the poor access to obtain a small loan, whereas a bank would not. This is true, yet while these smooth talking con artists shell out a small loan, with collateral attached, the end result spells out financial disaster for the borrower. If a borrower is 24 hours late paying on a loan, his loan is quickly defaulted, his collateral, such as his automobile, is immediately confiscated. Usually the cost to repay the loan has tripled, making it impossible for the borrower to repay the loan. The Predator loan company then seeks judgment in small claims court for triple costs, including attorney fees and court costs, where they are always awarded judgment. The moment the borrower signs his name for a loan, the trap snaps shut, holding him hostage to a ruthless, greedy predator.

As long as these predator loan companies are allowed to operate under the protection of state and federal law, America’s poor remains in financial danger to these corrupt rogues posing as legitimate businesses. The Gambino Group and the other afore mentioned gangsters, with the help of state governments, have gotten rich off the backs of the poor. It is time that state officials nationwide put a stop to legalized criminal activity by closing down predator pay day loan companies. Government officials must act quickly to close down these predator pay day loan companies. As long as citizens prolong their silence, these guttersnipe thugs will continue to operate legally under the umbrella of state and federal law.

Kings and Priest Before God

"And He has made us kings and priests unto His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever." Revelation 1:6 KJV

John the revelator wrote this scripture passage while living in exile on the Greek island of Patmos, an island in the Aegean Sea. Historians tell us this legendary Apostle of Faith is the author of First, Second, and Third John, as well as the Book of Revelation, also known as “The Apocalypse of John.”

It is no coincidence that John refers to the Body of Christ as kings and priests. The word king is interpreted as “one who rules a wise kingdom; the word priests is interpreted as “a person having authority.” Luke 10:19 declares, “Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing by any means hurt you.” All through the four Gospels, Christ taught his disciples they possessed awesome power in His name. He sent them out to heal the sick, cast out demons, and to raise the dead.

Paul the Apostle said in the Book of Ephesians 2:6…”and He made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Paul was instilling in us Believers that even though we are in the world and not of the world, we are not weak in power. Paul reminded us Believers, that we are already seated with Christ in glory and authority. The Church was birth in the power of the Holy Spirit. It was this mighty power of the Holy Spirit that the disciples performed monumental miracles. In the Book of Acts, Peter and John were brought before the religious zealots and severely beaten for their faith. After their release they prayed, “And now Lord, behold their threats: and grant to your servants, that with all boldness we may speak your word, by stretching forth your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the Name of your Holy Child Jesus.” Acts 4:29-30

Notice they prayed for boldness to speak the word by God stretching forth His hand to heal. The Word refers to the Believers as the Body of Christ. As the body of Christ, we are God’s hands on the face of this earth. They Word says, “You shall lay hands on the sick and heal them.” Just as the Devil needs a body to work through to accomplish his evil deeds, God also requires a body move through to perform the power of His Word, and that body is the Believers. While this statement may anger preachers, it nevertheless is true, God’s power is limited to the faith of the Believers. Nothing happens without the Believers first submitting to the Word by allowing the Holy Spirit to move through them.

Unfortunately, today’s Believers are constantly bombarded with candy-coated sermons from the pulpit with doubts and unbelief. We are often told, “If God chooses to perform miracles through His Word, then the choice is up to Him.” What a foolish statement. Smith Wigglesworth, the mighty man of God once said, “If the Spirit of God does not move, then I will move the Spirit.” Wigglesworth knew that God and His Word are one. That the anointing of the Holy Spirit comes through Word obedience; and most of the time obedience goes against the tradition of pulpit teachings.

The Apostle John reminds us that we are kings and priests, that we are people of authority and power. We are not “old shoes” for Christ, but rather we rule as kings and priests in command of lives circumstances. It is time for the Body of Christ’s return to its rightful position of authority. The Believer is called to change the world; and not become slave to the world’s circumstances. The Word tells us in Revelation, “As He is now so are we.”

A President Without Honor

Fifty Eight Thousand brave soldiers lost their lives during the Viet Nam conflict. Hundreds of Thousands returned to the United States crippled, maimed, seriously injured, while others have undergone post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Not to mention they returned home to an unforgiving nation that reviled the very uniform they wore.

The late sixties and seventies were turbulent years for America’s youth. Civil disobedience raged across this nation as America’s youth were embattled in bitter protests against unscrupulous politicians, and corporations profiteering financially from an unwarranted war. Thousands of Americans were beaten bloody by the police, they were arrested and cast into prison, their family were threaten bodily harm, and worst of all; some were murdered by ruthless law enforcement agents. Most Viet Nam veterans returned home vehemently against this immoral war, and saw it as nothing more than a propaganda of lies and deceit by the government.

As the blood of fifty eight thousand soldiers lay soaked in the jungles of Viet Nam, George W. Bush conceived an unscrupulous scheme to avoid the Viet Nam war altogether. George W. Bush, now the President of the United States, was a member of the Texas Air National Guard, it was during his National Guard service, he lost his flight status for his failure to fulfilled the requirements of his military service contract during the Vietnam War. Texans For Truth, specifically questioned the quality of Bush's service in the Guard, whether he benefited from favoritism in obtaining the position (since at the time it was considered probable that reservists would avoid combat), and whether he fulfilled all of the requirements of his service contract.

The unit in which Bush served was known as a "Champagne unit," where the scions of the Texas aristocracy could avoid combat duty with relatively few demands on their time. Serving in that unit with Bush were the sons of three prominent men: Democratic Governor John Connelly, Democratic Senator and future Vice-Presidential nominee Lloyd Bentsen, and Republican Senator John Tower , as well as seven members of the Dallas Cowboys professional football club, and a man named James R. Bath, who would become a longtime friend of Bush's.

George Bush used his father’s political influence to steer clear of his military commitment. For eight months G.W. Bush did not report to his National Guard Base. Where was he? He claims he was working for his senator father, and that his military superiors approved his military duty absence. The truth is George Bush cow-towed to his father’s shirt tail as his fellow soldiers lay dieing on foreign soil.

America’s Commander-in-Chief cowered in the face of the enemy during the Viet Nam conflict, now he’s at it again. Only this time, while he remains warm and comfortable in the Whitehouse, it is more American soldiers courageously dieing on foreign soil at the direction of a coward. As despicable as Hitler was, he at least won Germany’s Iron Cross for bravery during WWI. George W. Bush has neither served with honor, nor has been principled in truth. American soldiers continue to shed their blood, while he profiteers off Iraq’s oil. His lies for war are nothing more than window dressing for what he calls ‘world democracy’. Cowards are willing to sacrifice other peoples blood for own their benefit, as is proven with this President. He has been, and remains, a President without honor.
